Stepping Stones

Stepping Stones is a program for young children and their caregivers.  We do not have an age limit on this program, but generally this program appeals to kids 18 months – 6 years.

The program follows the same structure as the children’s program Learning in the Woods but for a shorter period of time.  Kids still have a chunk of time to engage in free play in the woods with optional participation in a check in circle to begin and end our time together. Caregivers will be exposed to topics related to Self-Directed Education, Non-violent Communication, Peaceful Parenting, Attachment Parenting, and RIE (Janet Lansbury and Teacher Tom).  Usually these topics emerge as children interact with each other and the environment.  We do not have a set curriculum.

Each season is 10 sessions long and each session is approximately 1 hour.  But we know what it is like to get toddlers to be anywhere on time.  So don’t worry if you show up late.  Or need to leave early.  Or need to stay a bit longer because your child is in the middle of some very important task or discovery and needs to see it through to completion.  We understand!

The cost is $100 per family.
